Sprinters Lead List of CSF Qualifiers

Fresno, Calif. - Sprinters Jon Pratter, Marques Barosso, Chris Epstein, Antonia Vega and Kandace Wilson led the list of qualifiers in Friday's first-day events at the California-Nevada Championships at Fresno State.

Pratter posted the best preliminary time of the day in the men's 200 meters at 21.30. The second best time was 21.59 by Barosso while Epstein's 21.64 tied for fourth. In the men's 100, Pratter (10.75), Barosso (10.64) and Epstein (10.91) all qualified for the finals with Barosso boasting the day's best time.

Vega qualified in both the women's 100 and 200 with times of 12.31 and 24.72, respectively. She will be joined in the 200 finals by teammate Wilson, who ran 24.59.

Wilson posted the best time of the day in the women's 400 meters at 54.88 and she will be joined in the finals by Nancy Blake (56.58) and Kimiah Hudson (55.69).

Fullerton also had the best qualifying time in the men's 1500 meters with Jordan Horn's 4:00.70.

In one of the day's few finals, Sergio Tapia ran seventh in the men's 5,000 meters in 15:18.28.
