Hunt, Short Set CSF Track Records at USC

Los Angeles, Calif. - Junior Jameena Hunt and sophomore Ciara Short each broke a Cal State Fullerton women's outdoor track and field record Saturday at the USC Trojan Invitational.

Hunt placed fourth in Secton A of the shot put with a best heave of 46 feet, 1 1/4 inches to top her own mark of 45 feet, 10 inches set last season. She also took second place in the Section B discus with a toss of 143 feet, 7 inches. Short won the 400 meters in 54.15 to break the 20-year-old school standard of 54.31 held since 1989 by Lori Shaw. She also placed fourth in the 400.

The Titans also got victories from Joey Divizia in the men's 3000, Bonnie Sorensen in the women's Section B high jump and Laron Brown in the men's Section B triple jump.

Placing second was Heather Leidle in the women's Section B triple jump
