Marc Pecson won the "B" pole vault and several Titans finished second or third in their specialties Saturday at the USC Trojan Invitational Track and Field Meet.

Pecson cleared the bar at 4.45 meters to beat runnerup Andrew Mashler of Fresno State by 1 1/2 centimeters.

Placing second were Carolyn Ellis in the women's 3000 meters in 9:58.53; Lauren Williams in the women's 100 hurdles in 13.830; Ciara Short in the women's 200 in 24.10 and John Carrell in the men's 3000 in 8:45.63.

Finishing third were the Titan women's 4x100 relay team of Short, Williams, Chazz Evans and Krizia Apelar in 46.26 and Short in the women's 400 in 53.69.
