Alex Hageman, Ciara Short and Bonnie Sorensen each won an event Saturday for Cal State Fullerton at the Cal State Northridge Invitational Track and Field Meet.

Hageman won the 800 meters in 1:54.47, nipping Alex Cardona of El Camino by less than half a second.

Short won the 200 meters in 24.18, almost a third of a second ahead of runnerup Samantha Bogatz of Glendale College. Short also placed third in the 100 in 12.03.

Sorensen won Section A of the women's long jump with a best effort of 5.58 meters.

Other top finishers included LeRon Brown, second in the men's high jump at 2.05 meters, Eddie Perez, third in the men's 3000 steeplechase in a time of 10:03.73 and Eric Grumbaum, third in the section B hammer throw at 45.59 meters.
