San Diego, Calif. - Eddie Perez placed second in the men's 3000 steeplechase and Giovanie Salinas ran third in the men's 200 meters to highlight Cal State Fullerton's performances Friday on the opening day of the Aztec Invitational at San Diego State.
Perez was clocked in 10:07.52 and Salinas' mark was 22.24.
The majority of the open and invitational events will be contested Saturday.
