Flagstaff, Ariz. - Several school records fell as the Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team opened its 2010 season a snow-delayed day late at the 4-team Friday Night Challenge Saturday afternoon at Northern Arizona University's Walkup Skydome.

Ciara Short won the 200 and 400 meter races, the latter in 55.4 and the former in a school record time of 24.10. Lauren Williams also set a school record at 8.64 in winning the 60 meter hurdles and Jameena Hunt extended her school mark to 58 feet, 2 1/2 inches in winning the weight throw.

Fullerton finished one-two in the pole vault with Alison Stamos winning at 11 feet, 5 3/4 inches and Susanne Hotckin second at 10 feet, 1 3/4 inches. Chazz Evans was second in the 60 meters at 7.87.

Portland State and Southern Utah also were expected to compete but could not reach Flagstaff due to weather problems.
