Flagstaff, Ariz. - Three woman's indoor track and field records fell this weekend as the Cal State Fullerton women's team traveled to Northern Arizona University's Mountain T's Invitational at the Walkup Skydome.

Sandy Gonzalez, a junior transfer from Santa Ana College, made her debut performance for Cal State Fullerton in the high jump, clearing a school indoor record 5 feet, 5 3/4 inches. Her effort was good enough to place second.

"We are happy to have Sandy with us this season. What we saw this weekend is a really good indicator of what Sandy is capable of," said Head Coach John Elders.

Sophomore Ciara Short was the second athlete of the weekend to etch her name into the indoor record book. She placed third overall in the 200m invitational with a time of 24.74.

"Today was a good day for her [Ciara], but I know that she has a lot more to give. She is young. She has a lot to learn," said Sprints/Hurdles Coach Brandit Copper. Short's day also included a finish of eighth in the 60m with a time of 7.80.

Junior standout Jameena Hunt was the third Titan to edit the record book as she finished sixth overall in the weight throw with a distance of 53 feet, 10 1/2 inches. Throws Coach Edmund Pula said, "it was a good start for Jameena, but we've got miles to go."

Hunt also holds the indoor record for the shot put.

Senior Kristyne Hanberg had a PR (personal record) in the 200m with a time of 24.98. She also posted a time of 7.85 in the 60m.

The Titans are scheduled to take a week off of competition as they prepare to travel to Seattle for the University of Washington's Husky Classic which is scheduled for Feb. 14.
