Titans Shine at Mt. SAC Relays, Bryan Clay Invitational

WALNUT, Calif. — Several Titans recorded personal-bests Friday to highlight strong team showings at the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.

Mt. SAC Relays

Alonzo Floriolli raced to a second-place finish in the men's 100m at the Mt. SAC Relays, clocking a time of 10.38. He finished just seven one-hundredths of a second behind Louie Hinchliffe of Washington State. Abel Jordan finished fourth in the men's 110m hurdles, clocking a time of 14.07, good for second-best all-time in school history.

Floriolli also took fifth in the men's 200m, clocking a 21.10. Isaiah Emerson posted a personal-best time of 21.41 to finish 15th, while Justin Lowe ran a 21.46 to finish in 17th place.  

In the men's discus, Hawkin Miller threw for a personal-best mark of 46.23m, finishing sixth in the event. Miller also finished ninth in the men's shot put with a 15.84m, while Joshua Tan took 22nd with a 13.18m. Kyliegh Wilkerson (42.76m, 11th) and Kaylah McNairy (40.41m, 15th) each posted top-15 finishes in the women's discus. 

A trio of Titans finished in the top-20 in the men's 400m, led by Lowe, who finished 14th with a time of 47.45. Emerson took 18th with a 47.53 and Chris Goode took 20th with a personal-best 47.56. Christian Wood placed 18th in the men's long jump, posting a mark of 7.04m. 

London Lee finished 19th in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.16m. In the Collegiate B group of the men's pole vault, Sam Heinrichs placed second with a clearance of 5.10m. Ernesto Collazo took seventh in the event with a 4.80m. 

Bryan Clay Invitational

Nathaniel Avila started the day off by running a personal-best time of 14:33.82 in the open B men's 5000m, placing 13th. Jicel Fernandez Ramirez also placed 13th in the open B women's 5000m, running a 17:18.36.

In the women's open 800m, Olivia Ruiz recorded a new personal-best time of 2:11.79 to finish in 17th place. Jeremiah Castellano placed 75th in the men's 800m open with a 1:51.11. 

Alexis Garcia raced to an eighth place finish in heat five of the men's 5000m open A, clocking a time of 14:04.71. In heat five of the women's 5000m open A, Mia Bergman finished 18th with a time of 16:46.58. Dana McGrath finished 25th in heat one of the women's 5000m open A with a time of 17:35.87. 

The Titans return to action tomorrow, April 15th, for a final day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.
