Relay Teams Pace Titans on Day Two of Stanford Invitational

Day One Recap

PALO ALTO, Calif. — The Titans' 4x100m men's relay team won gold to highlight a strong team showing on day two of the Stanford Invitational. 

The men's 4x100m relay team finished the event in a time of 40.28, edging out Academy of Art, Arkansas and Big West opponent Long Beach State. This marks the second consecutive meet the Titans' men's 4x100m relay team won gold. 

Fullerton's men's 4x400m relay team earned the silver medal after Reyte Rash, Chris Goode, Isaiah Emerson and Justin Lowe ran a time of 3:09.06. The Titans' women's 4x100m relay team, made up of Rayann Booker, Trinity Barnett, Tayla Brunger and Jayde Charlton, finished fifth after clocking a time of 46.36. 

Sam Heinrichs finished third in the men's pole vault invite with a clearance mark of 5.25m, while Daniel Palacio finished seventh in the event with a 5.05m. Hawkin Miller took second in the men's collegiate shot put with a mark of 16.57m. In the women's collegiate triple jump, London Lee earned bronze after securing a mark of 12.22m.

In section six of the men's 800m, Vicente Huerta earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:54.04. Evalen Garcia finished ninth in the women's collegiate hammer throw with a mark of 49.96m while Naythn Scruggs took 13th in the men's 200m with a time of 21.72.  

Meanwhile, on the final day of competition at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Olivia Ruiz finished fifth in the women's 800m with a time of 2:12.22. 

Fullerton returns to action next on Friday, April 7th, at the Challenge Cup Classic in Santa Barbara.
