FULLERTON, CALIF. – Day one of the Ben Brown Invite produced new personal best for several Titans, as Kiera Cruz (47.83m), Teresa Chang (47.32m), and Kyliegh Wilkerson (46.33m) all threw new lifetime best in the women's hammer to start the day. Cruz's throw moved her up to number six on the all-time list, right behind Sinai Fatafehi.

In the Pole Vault, Daniel Palacio recorded a mark of 4.96m while Samuel Heinrichs was close behind with a clearance of 4.81m. Palacio and Heinrichs finished second and third overall with Thomas Slakey rounding out the fourth spot after clearing 4.66m.

Later in the evening, the inaugural Astro AI Distance Carnival started off with Bobby Brana winning the men's 3000m steeple chase with a time of 9:25.23. Tony Chavez would finish third overall with a time 9:26.93. In the men's 1500m, Jeremiah Castellano led the way for the Titans after running 3:59.39. Kishan Patel won his heat and finished top 10 overall, right behind Castellano.

Trinity Ruelas won the women's 1500m after battling neck and neck with Jessica Cain of San Diego St. Ruelas' time of 4:24.38 would also earn her the new stadium record, which was previously held by teammate McKaylie Caesar, set in 2021.

Alexis Garcia runs the fourth fastest time in Titan history in the men's 5000m run after finishing fifth overall with a time of 14:26.15. Only Jordan Horn (14:06.1), Sammy Ayala (14:15.8) and Steve Frisone (14:18.4) have run faster. Jeremiah Castellano sprinted two laps around the track in the men's 800m with a time of 1:54.47.

In the women's 5000m run, Aylssa Block just misses the school record, currently held by Trinity Ruelas, by a little over one second, as she ran a new personal best time of 16:30.91. That time moved Block into the number three spot on the all-time list for the Titans.

The Titans will be back in action tomorrow begining at 10:00AM PST, as Day 2 of the Ben Brown Invitational continues.
