Fatafehi Wins Hammer and Ruelas Breaks 5k Record Again

LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Day One of the Silver State Classic showcased the men and women throwers competing in the Hammer throw and Discus. Sinai Fatafehi (Jr) threw a new personal best 55.31m in the women's hammer to win the event and place her third on the Titans All-Time list.

Connor Anderson (Jr) finished third in the men's hammer after a throw of 59.64m, setting a new personal best. Anderson's throw moves him closer to the school record of 61.82m set by Trevor Gorwin during the 2017 season at Mt. SAC Relays.

AZUSA, Calif. – The first day of the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted a handful of our Titan Distance runners where Trinity Ruelas (Sr) rebroke her school record in the womens 5000m with a time of 16:29.86. Sarah Hollis (Sr) posted a new personal best by over 10 seconds in the women's 3000m steeple chase running a time of 10:30.92. Hollis would finish sixth overall and move up to the number three slot on the Titans All-Time list.

Bobby Brana (So) finished sixth overall as well, in the men's 3000m steeple chase with a new personal best of 9:14.93. Brana's time moves him into the number four slot on the Titans All-Time list for men's steeple chase. Teammate Tony Chavez (Fr) finished seventh overall with a time of 9:42.85.

The Titans will be back in action tomorrow as the sprints, jumps and throw squads compete in day two of the Silver State Classic at UNLV and the distance squad compete in day two of the Bryan Clay Invite at Azusa Pacific.
