Day 2 of The Fullerton Spring Invite

FULLERTON, Calif. – Christian Wood (SO) opened up Day Two of the Fullerton Spring Invite with a win in the men's long jump in a leap of 7.13m (23'4¾") and a third-place finish in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.79m (45'3"). 

The men's 4x100m A-Team (Hall, Bibbs, House, Espinoza) finish first place in a season best time of 40.70. The B-Team (Wood, Scruggs, Pierce, Sheridan) finish second in a time of 40.90. Matt Cohen finished second in the men's 110H with a time of 14.97 (+2.3m/s), but would come back and win the men's 400H with a time of 55.25.

The Titans go one, two, three in the men's 400m dash. Parris Samaniego (47.43) out leans Marcel Espinoza (47.47) at the line for a first-place finish. Teammate Justin Lowe rounded out the third spot with a time of 48.05. Lowe would come back with a second-place finish in the men's 200m running a time of 21.84.

The men go on to sweep the 100m dash as well, with Ryan Hall posting a new season best to win with a wind legal time of 10.43 (+0.6m/s). Rasuan House (10.86) finished second and team mate Charlie Pierce (10.86) would finished third. In the men's 200m, Ryan Hall finished first in a time of 21.12 (+0.3m/s), Justin Lowe (21.84) second, and Rasuan House (21.91) third.

On the women's side, Naiah Boardingham continued her win streak in the women's long jump by finishing first with a mark of 6.08m (19'11½"). Iesha Hamm (SR) won the women's high jump clearing 1.73m (5'8") after two attempts. Teammate Alexis Vincent-Walker finished second after clearing 1.65m (5'5").

Mariah Stewart logged her first win of the season in the womens 100H after running a time of 14.61. Karyn Best finished second with a time of 14.74. Maya Occiano took third in the women's 400m dash running 57.30. Hailey Murdica ran 12.19 in the women's 100m to secure second place. To wrap up the meet, the lady titans ran a season best 3:57.78 to lock in a second-place finish behind the anteaters of UC Irvine.

The Titans will be back in action next week as the team is split between the UNLV Invite on Friday April 16th and the Bryan Clay Invite April 16-17th.
