FULLERTON, Calif. – Day one of the Fullerton Spring Invite started off with SR Sammy Ayala breaking Steve Frisone's 27-year-old record in the men's 1500m. Ayala would win his race in a time of 3:44.85, besting Frisone's time (3:49.0) by over four seconds. Teammate Sam Pimental finished fourth setting a new personal best by over 14 seconds with a time of 3:51.85. 

Bobby Brana ran a new season best of 9:22.73 in the men's 3000m Steeple Chase and finished second. Brana's time also moves him up to the number six spot on the Titans Top Ten All-time list. In the men's 5000m, finishing second through fifth, the Titans put four runners in front of UC Irvine's first competitor. Cayden Ruiz (15:00.47), Alexis Garcia (15:08.80), Andrew Castellon (15:13.54), and Uriel Medina (15:26.42).

Tanner Miller (SR) took second place in the men's shot put with a throw of 16.53m (54'2¾").  Ernesto Collazo (SO) won the men's pole vault and set a new personal best by clearing 4.91m (16'1¼"). Collazo mark slides him into the number ten spot on the Titans All-Time list, knocking out Ryan Polakiewicz (4.90m; 2018).

On the women's side, Sam Huerta (SR) completed her day as a double winner, as she led the way in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:24.46 and in the women's 800m with a time of 2:10.39. Teammate Trinity Ruelas finished second in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:28.45.

Sara Hollis (SR) won the women's 3000m steeple chase in a time of 10:40.23.

Senai Fatafehi (JR) took third in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 53.16m (174'5") and second in the women's shot put with a throw of 13.07m (42'10¾"). Teammate Evalen Garcia (FR) took third in the women's shot put with a throw of 12.93m (42'5¼"). To round out the day, Andrea Woods (FR) would finish second in the women's javelin with a throw of 30.86m (101'3")
