FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton track and field wrapped up UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational on Saturday at Anteater Stadium.

In the men's 400-meter hurdles, Diego Courbis posted a season-best time of 52.30 to take third place overall. That time is also a team best in the event for the season and the No. 2 time in the Big West this year. Parris Samaniego led the way for Fullerton in the men's 400-meter sprint with a time of 47.52.

The quartet of Marquis Rogers, Rasaun House, Mason Rollins and Marcel Espinoza ran the men's 4x100-meter relay in 40.43, just off their season-best time of 40.33. They took second overall and first among collegiate competitors, narrowly edging Long Beach State (40.44). House ran the 200 meters in 21.73. Samaniego, Chris Shiley, House and Espinoza took second place in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:12.34. On the women's side, Fullerton's quartet of Morgan Love, Elani Rice, Zuri Henderson and Mia Franco clocked a season-best time of 3:48.25 to take third place overall. That time is the No. 4 time in the Big West this year.

In the women's 1,500 meters, Alyssa Block took third place at 4:31.80, just off her PR of 4:31.09. Sandra Flores was right behind her in fourth place with a mark of 4:32.48.

Erick Juarez's 800-meter time of 1:53.63 was good for fourth place. That is a personal-best mark for Juarez and a team-best on the year for the Titans. Juarez also had a PR in the 1,500-meter race at 3:58.02. Jake Smith led the way for Fullerton in the men's 1,500 meters with a time of 3:49.11.

In the men's high jump, Marcel Sylvester took fourth place with a clearance of 6-8.75 (2.05m). Sela Pastrana had a personal-best mark of 39-1 (11.91m, 0.0 wind) in the women's triple jump to take sixth place overall. That is the furthest a Titan has triple jumped this season. Brandon McLaurin had a personal-best triple jump as well, going 48-8.25 (14.84m, +0.6 wind) to take fourth place.

Trevor Gorwin finished in fourth place in the men's shot put with a season-best toss of 55-9 (16.99m).   

Next up, the squad hosts the Titan Twilight on Friday at 3 p.m. PT at the Titan Track Complex.
