Joshi and Reynolds Receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Seniors Aneesh Joshi and Nick Reynolds earned U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, it was announced on Thursday.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships.

Joshi competed in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA West Region Preliminaries after setting a new school record during the preliminaries at the Big West Championships on May 14. The senior from Pune, Maharashtra, India ran a time of 14.23 in the Big West prelims before coming back the following day to finish in second in the final in a time of 14.35.

Reynolds, a kinesiology major, competed in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA West Region Preliminaries. The Apple Valley, Calif., native finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles at the Big West Championships and sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at the conference championships.

Since 2011, the Titans have had six student-athletes receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field accolades.
