AS A SOPHOMORE (2014) Playing her first season with the Titans after competing
as both an indoor and outdoor track and field athlete.
TRACK AND FIELD
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SOPHOMORE (2014):
Competed in nine events for the Titans during the 2014 outdoor
track and field season, mainly in the long jump and high jump... in
the long jump she posted a season-best leap of 17-00.50 to place
18th at the Steve Scott Invite on May 4... she also placed second
in the long jump at the Riverside CC Meet on March 8 when she
posted a leap of 16-04.50... in the high jump she leaped to a
personal best of 5-00.50 to finish seventh at the UC Riverside
Invitational on March 29.
INDOOR TRACK & FIELD SOPHOMORE (2014):
Competed in the high and long jump for the Titans during the 2014
indoor track and fied... recorded a season-best 1.45m in the high
jump to place 11th at the Boise State Team Challenge on Feb. 15...
in the long jump her season-best jump of 5.21m gave her a 26th
place finish at the University of New Mexico Cherry & Silver
Collegiate... had a third place finish in the long jump (5.10m) at
the Northern Arizona Team Challenge.
HIGH SCHOOL A 2012 graduate of Franklin High School in Elk Grove,
Calif… Played three years on the varsity volleyball squad
for head coach Melody McCullough… was a an outside hitter
and defensive specialist for the Wildcats… two-year team
captain as a junior and senior… three-time offensive player
of the year and two-time team MVP… named the Delta Valley
Conference Player of the Year as a junior and senior… also
ran track all four years for the Wildcats… four-year team
captain and named team MVP, athlete of the year to go along with
DVC championship... Also ran four seasons of track and field.

Marie Thompson… parents are Eric and Kristina
Thompson… older brother Brandyn played football for four
years at Boise State. Went on to play for the Washington Redskins
of the National Football League in 2011 and currently plays in the
Canadian Football League for the Ottawa Redblacks… Favorites
include: Brandyn Thompson and Kevin Durant (athletes), Planet of
