OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD JUNIOR (2014): Competed in the shot put, hammer throw, discus throw, and javelin for the Titans during the 2014 outdoor track and field season... held the top throws in each the shot put, hammer, and discus throw for the Titans... in the shot put, she tossed a career-best 38-08.25 to finish ninth at the UC Riverside Invitational on March 29...in the discus throw she had a heave of 115-00 at the UC Irvine Spring Break meet on March 22... only competed once in the javelin throw during the season... in the javelin throw, she had a throw of 73-04 to finish 10th at the Big West Challenge on April 11... Mercado also competed in the hammer throw, as she recorded a personal-best 173-06 to finish seventh at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 18... she also finished second in the hammer throw at the Big West Challenge with a toss of 171-11.

INDOOR TRACK & FIELD JUNIOR (2014): Competed in six events for the Titans during the 2014 indoor track and field season... competed twice in the shot put and her best toss of 11.45 came at the Northern Arizona Team Challenge as she finished fourth... her toss of 11.45 was the top toss on the team for the 2014 indoor season... also held the top weight throw toss for the Titans as she posted a throw of 16.38 to finish second at the MPSF Championships... also had a first place finish in the weight throw at the NAU Challenge during the prelims. 

OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SOPHMORE (2013): Competed in 17 outdoor track and field events for the Titans during the 2013 season…in the shot put her top mark was 39-11.25, earning that at the Beach Invite…finished second at the Pomona Preview on Mar. 1-2, with a throw of 37-09.50…in the hammer throw she also placed first at the Pomona Preview with a throw of 154-08…set the top mark for the season with a throw of 159-02 at the Beach Invite on Mar. 19-20. 

MURRIETA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Was on the varsity track team all four years at Murrieta Valley High School...won her team's Rookie of the Year award freshman year...qualified for the Arcadia Invitational her junior year...placed eighth in the shot put at indoor state championships her senior year (36.5")...Tossed a personal best 36.8.75"in the shot put her sophomore season.

PERSONAL
Born in Chula Vista, Calif....her parents are Jaime and Valerie... she has a younger brother Hayden, who does Tae Kwon Do...she's currently majoring in communications with a focus in public relations...in her free time she enjoys baking, painting, cooking, listening to music, and shopping.
