FULLERTON, Calif.—The Cal State Fullerton track and field team readies for its final tune-up meet before the Big West Championships, as the Titans will compete at the OXY Invitational this Saturday in Eagle Rock, Calif.
The OXY Invitational is hosted by Occidental College and will begin with the men's shot put at 11:00 a.m. Both Steven Parsons and JaQuan Scott will represent Fullerton in that event. Scott posted a personal best throw of 44-11.75 at the Beach Invite a few weeks back, while Parsons also tossed a personal best 44-08.75.
The day will wrap up with the men's 5000-meter run at approximately 9:20 p.m. However, the final event the Titans will compete in will be the men's 3000-meter steeplechase at approximately 8:25 p.m. Tim Reed will represent the Titans in this event, as he looks to top his season-best time of 9:48.06 he set last week at the Steve Scott Invitational.

Steven Parsons: Will compete in the hammer throw and shot put on Saturday. He currently ranks 17th in the Big West in the hammer throw (48.36m) and 20th (13.63m) in the shot put.
Cliff King: Will compete in the hammer throw. He currently ranks 23rd in the Big West in this event (46.41m)
JaQuan Scott: Will compete in the shot put. He currently ranks 19th in the Big West in this event (13.71m)
Walter Whitaker*: Will compete in the triple jump. He currently ranks third in the Big West in this event (14.91m). He also ranks 45th in the NCAA West Region.
Emmett Kellogg: Will compete in the triple jump. He currently ranks 11th in the Big West in this event (13.72m).
Thomas Grimes: Will compete in the long jump. He currently ranks 11th in the Big West in this event (6.95m).

Bryan Luther*: Will compete in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay. Currently ranks sixth in the Big West in the 100-meter dash (10.65) and has led Cal State Fullerton to a second place conference ranking in the 4x100-meter relay (41.09). His 100-meter time ranks 61st in the NCAA West Region, while Fullerton's best 4x100 time ranks 73rd.
Tony Crutchfield: Will compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, as well as the 110-meter hurdles. His 100-meter time ranks 29th (11.09) in the Big West, while his 200-meter time (23.70) ranks 58th, and his 110-meter hurdle time ranks 11th (14.92).
Keawe Tolson: Will compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. His 100-meter time ranks 35th in the Big West (11.25), while is 200-meter time ranks 42nd (22.82).
Joshua Gordon: Will compete in the 400-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay.
