May Leads Titans at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla.—Javon May led the Cal State Fullerton track and field team over the weekend, as he ran a season-best 52.53 and placed 14th overall in the 400-meter hurdles Saturday at the Florida Relays.

 

May's new time is good for the second fastest in the conference and ranks 31st in the NCAA West Region.  Katie Wilson also ran a season-best time of 55.16 in the women's 400-meter run over the weekend, to place her at fourth best in the Big West and tied for 50th in the NCAA West Region. 

 

Wilson placed 32nd overall in the event, while teammate Morgan Thompson ran a  56.43 and finished 36th.

 

Ashley Sims ran an 11.89 in the 100-meter dash, just over a millisecond off her season-best finish of 11.76, as she placed 29th overall.

 

Bryan Luther ran a 10.84 in the men's 100-meter dash and placed 48th overall and the women's 4x100 meter relay team ran a 46.22 and placed 22nd to conclude the action for the Titans in Florida.

 

Fullerton now looks ahead to this Friday, where the Titans will compete in the Big West Challenge starting at 3 p.m.
