Ryan Hankes was born on Dec. 3, 1987, in Wichita, Kansas... parents are Bill and Diane Hankes of Lake Forest, California... graduated (2006) from El Toro High School where he competed in the 400, 800, 4x100 and 4x400 relays... also ran cross country and played soccer... served as student body treasurer... president of school blood drive... member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Safe Rides... won student of the year and ASB Commendable Charger awards... served in the U.S. Navy from September, 2006, to April, 2009... still in the Naval Reserves... was stationed in San Diego but traveled all over the word... certified as an avionics electrician and worked on H-60 helicopters.
