Krizia Leah Apelar was born on Dec. 22, 1989, in Hollywood, California... her parents are Jim and Gladys Apelar of Buena Park, California... she graduated (2008) from Long Beach Polytechnic High School where she competed in the 100, 200 and 400 meter races and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays... she was very active in student government, serving as sophomore class treasurer and vice-president and junior class president... she won a varsity & academic letter, was in the CIC Honors Program, the Concerts for Humanity Club and the New Life Christian Club... she won a Pursuit of Excellence Award for health science and received a gold pin for 200 hours of community service and school involvement... at Cal State Fullerton she is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an FCA worship leader at her church and works in rehab center personnel for Atlantic Memorial Healthcare Center... at the 2010 Big West Conference Championships she ran the anchor leg of Fullerton's fourth-place 4x400 meter relay team... she sings and writes her own music... her cousin, Jared Palomar, is the bass player for Augustana ("Boston" and "Sweet and Low")... her uncle, Pres Romanillos, was a Disney animator and drew characters such as Shan-Yu (Mulan), Pocahontas, Ursula (Little Mermaid) and the Genie (Aladdin).
