FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team competed at the Husky Classic in Seattle on Friday and junior Iesha Hamm highlighted the day with her high jump victory.

Hamm cleared 5-10 (1.78m) to win the high jump competition, her second straight meet winning the event. She entered at 1.70m and cleared on her second try, then cleared 1.75m on her first attempt before sailing over the bar at 1.78m on her final try. She failed to clear 5-11.25 (1.81m), which would have been a school-record mark. It is the third time in her indoor career that she has cleared 1.78m or higher, one of which is the current school record of 5-10.5 (1.79m).

Sophomore Mariah Steward took 12th place in the preliminary round of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.02. Sophomore Bertha Sola finished in 16th place in the weight throw with a toss of 54-2.75 (16.53m), the second-best toss of her career. Junior Sinai Fatafehi's toss of 50-10 (15.49m) was good for 24th place. 

Competition resumes on Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.
