FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team wrapped up the first day of competition at both the UW and Colorado Invitationals. Junior Iesha Hamm, the reigning Big West Champion and 2019 NCAA Outdoor All-American highlighted the day with a win in the high jump in Colorado. Competition at both meets resumes on Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.

In Colorado, Hamm won the women's high jump competition with a clearance of 5-8 (1.73m) for her season debut. She cleared 1.68m on her second try and 1.73m on her first attempt before missing on three tries at 5-10 (1.78m). Junior Jelani Minix cleared 5-4.25 (1.63m), good for a tie in fifth place.

For the long jump, juniors Naiah Boardingham (18-4.25, 5.59m) and Ryann Mojica (17-4.75, 5.30m) took seventh and eighth place, respectively. Mojica's mark of 5.30m was a personal best as she has posted personal-best marks in the long jump in each of the first two meets this season.

At the UW Invitational, the women's distance medley relay team of Alyssa Block (1,200m), Kiana Clay (400m), Samantha Huerta (800m) and Stephanie Cortez (mile) clocked a time of 11:52.63 to take second place in heat one. In the pole vault, Mariah Lark cleared 11-5.75 (3.50m).
