Stewart and Murdica Lead TF at MLK Jr. Invitational

Albuquerque, N.M. – Cal State Fullerton women's track and field wrapped up the Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational on Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Mariah Stewart posted a 60-meter hurdles time won the qualifying round with a personal-best time of 8.96 and posted a time of 8.97 in the preliminaries. Stewart also ran the 60-meter sprint in 8.02.

CSF went 10-11-12 in the 60-meter dash qualifying round with Hailey Murdica clocking a time of 7.90, Kyra Anderson at 7.90 and Tatiana Bell at 7.92. Murdica was also the top Titan finisher on Friday night in the 200-meter sprint. Kiana Clay clocked a 400-meter time of 58.09 to take 12th place overall.

Jelani Minix earned a 13th-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 36-1.25 (11.00m.) Sinai Fatafehi's shot put toss of 37-3.25 (11.36m) was good for a top-20 finish.

Next up, the Titans head to Seattle for the UW Invitational on Jan. 25-26.
