Records Fall Again on Day Two

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. ---  A pair of Cal State Fullerton indoor track records were broken on Saturday as the Titans competed in their final meets before the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in two weeks.

 

On the second and final day of the Don Kirby Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center, freshman Shelby Noble set a new Cal State Fullerton indoor track record in the pole vault with a mark of

3.75 meters. The previous record was shared by Jennifer Clarke (2004) and Alysse McMillen (2016) at 3.71 meters.

 

In addition, competing in the second and final day of the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, freshman Samantha Huerta's one-mile time of 5:01.67 broke the previous record of 5:02.83 set by Sierra Ungerman in 2016.

 

The Titans broke four indoor records over the weekend and have set a total of five new records in 2017.

 

The Titans return to action, Friday, Feb. 24 for two days of competition at the MPSF Championships in Seattle.
