SEATTLE --- Sophomore Kyra Anderson qualified for the 60-meter hurdles final, while Cal State Fullerton added five more top-10 finishes on day two of the UW Invitational held at Dempsey Indoor on the University of Washington campus.
Anderson's time of 8.77 in qualifying was good enough to advance her to the final heat, where she clocked a time of 8.82 to cross the finish line in eighth.
In the 400 meters, freshman Zuri Henderson clocked her fastest time of the season at 56.96, good enough for a ninth-place finish. In addition, sophomore Morgan Love shaved a second off her 400 time from a week ago, clocking a 57.11 to finish 15th. Freshman Kiana Clay came in 17th with a time of 57.70.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Love, Henderson, Clay and Fanny Giron shaved almost two second off its time from the Lumberjack Team Challenge, clocking a post of 3:50.88, to place fifth.
Freshman Naiah Boardingham fell just short of her record-breaking long jump mark last week, and finished fourth with a jump of 5.68 meters.
In the high jump, senior Ty'Jalayah Robertson's mark of 1.65 meters placed sixth, while her mark of 11.57 meters in the triple jump was the best for a Titan this season, coming in seventh place.
Nest up, the Titans will travel split squads to the Husky Invitational (Feb. 10-11) in Seattle and the Don Kirby Invitational (Feb. 10-11) in Albuquerque, N.M.
