SEATTLE, Wash. – Two school records fell and a trio of personal records were set as the Titans once again had another successful trip to the UW Invitational this past weekend.

Sierra Ungerman made her debut as a Titan setting a new school record in the one-mile run with her time of 5:05.24, breaking the previous record of 5:06.95 set by Tejera Dial in 2014.

Ungerman, along with her teammates India Owens, Stephanie Cortez and Emily Taylor, also shattered the school record for the distance medley relay, running a total time of 12:16.73.

Senior Brionna Thompson set a huge personal record this weekend in the shot put with her distance of 11.92m while Ifunanya Gwacham also set a new personal record in the 60m hurdles with her time of 9.65 seconds.

Pole vaulter Alysse McMillen attempted a school record this weekend as she went for a height of 12'6.25" after clearing 12'1/2" with the school record being 12'2".

On the men's side, all three men saw top five finishes including Aneesh Joshi setting a personal record in the 60m hurdles and finishing 2nd overall with his time of 8.10 seconds.

Junior transfer Edwin Matthews also finished 2nd overall in the high jump with his height of 2.10m while senior Josh Gordon finished 4th overall in the 400m with his time of 48.05 seconds.

"Overall the gals seemed a little flat after traveling two weeks in a row," explained head coach John Elders. "Despite that we had some significant improvements and a couple of school records, so overall it was a positive meet for the Lady Titans. I'm looking forward to a week of training this week and then heading out to Albuquerque on Valentine's weekend."

The Titans will compete again on Feb. 12-13 at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.
