FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field returns to action after an exciting 2014 campaign that proved to be record-breaking. The new edition of women's indoor track and field team is looking forward to the start of this season, as the 2015 schedule was released Thursday.
The Titans will begin their season at the UNM Lobo Collegiate, for a one-day meet in Albuquerque, N.M. on Jan. 24, before traveling to Seattle, Wash., Jan. 30 - 31, to participate in the UW Invitational for the third-straight year.
The Titans split up Feb. 13 - 14, with the distance runners departing to Seattle to spend Valentine's Day competing at the Husky Invitational, and the rest of the squad heading back to Flagstaff, Ariz. to join in the action at the NAU Invitational.
The schedule wraps up Feb. 27 - 28, when the Titans travel a familiar route back to Seattle for a third time to compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships for the second year in a row.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., March 13 -14.
Five school records fell a season ago, and four record holders are coming back in 2015 to attempt to break them once again. Senior Tejera Dial returns to uphold her records in the 800 meters (2:15:89), one-mile (5:06.95), and the distance medley relay (12:18.89), ran last season with juniors Ana Valdovinos, Elizabeth Claustro and sophomore Arianna Fuentes. And back, representing CSF as the new pentathlon school record holder will be senior Taylor Frank (3,093 points).
