The Tuffys are the first Cal State Fullerton Athletics social media award show, celebrating the athletics achievements our student-athletes during the 2019-20 academic year. The winners will be decided via fan vote on Twitter.
Every week for the next eight weeks, we will announce the nominees of an award on Tuesday morning with the poll open on Twitter for 48 hours, then we will announce the winner on Thursday. We will follow the same format later in the week, announcing the nominees on Saturday morning and then the winner of the award on Monday morning.
And the winner of Senior Male Athlete of the Year is:
The nominees for Senior Male Athlete of the Year were:
Jackson Rowe, Men's Basketball - Second Team All-Big West, led the team in both points (15.6) and rebounds (7.4).
Paul-Andre Guerin, Men's Soccer - All-Big West Honorable Mention, started all 20 games and allowed 1.20 goals per game while earning five shutouts. He became the Titans all-time leader in shutouts with 20 in his career.
Jorge Sanchez, Men's Cross Country - Ran in 5 meets, helped team to 2nd-place finish at Big West Championships and was the first Titan finisher at the NCAA West Regionals.
Jack Dyer, Men's Golf - Competed in all seven tournaments and was a tri-medalist in the Mark Simpson Invitational in Colorado. He was also a key part of team wins at the OC Collegiate Classic and the Sacramento State Invitational.
