Cal State Fullerton Athletics

Sara Perry joins the Titan Family for a second time in May 2023.  She comes back to CSUF after spending almost 8 years at Cal State Dominguez Hills.  She started her time at CSUDH as an Academic Advisor/Compliance Assistant in a temporary assignment.   After spending 4 months in that role, she transitioned to the Athletics Budget Office.  She was tasked with managing all aspects of the department budget.  She oversaw all purchasing, managed accounts both on the state-side and also the auxiliary accounts (ASI, IRA and Philanthropic), she managed all travel for the department.   She also took on leadership roles within the Admin team by becoming the Sport Supervisor for Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Sports Performance.  She was a leader on the inaugural Athletics Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee and also the Leadership Academy within the Athletic Department. 

Before her time at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Sara was an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Cal State Fullerton.  She started at Fullerton in a Graduate Assistant capacity for the 2005-2006.  She was then hired on as a full time Assistant Coach from 2006-2011.  Sara was responsible for all travel related planning and budgeting for the women’ s basketball program.  She was the lead for all film exchange.  She also assisted with academic tracking and mentoring for the team.  She assisted with on court instruction for the guards. 

Sara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Notre Dame de Namur University in Northern California with a degree in Sports Management and minors in Communication and Marketing.  She received the Presidents Scholarship and a partial Athletic scholarship to play basketball for NDNU.  She was a 2 year starter and received honorable mention from the conference. 

Sara graduated from Cal State Fullerton with her Masters in Kinesiology in 2009 with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning and Sports Psychology.
