Greg was a four-year starter for Cal State Fullerton, leading the team to a share of the Titans' only conference championship in 1975-76. The team that became affectionately known throughout the nation as "Cal State Who?" earned a Final Eight berth in the 1978 NCAA Tournament. It is also the only Titan team to make the NCAA tournament, where it defeated nationally ranked New Mexico and University of San Francisco before losing to Arkansas.The team finished as the top team in Titan history with a 23-9 record.

That remarkable team finished 9-5 in the PCAA, tied for third place, yet won the conference tournament and two games in the NCAA Tourney. Greg led the Titans in scoring all four seasons, averaging 14.5 points per game during his tenure at Cal State Fullerton. He was also named to the first-team all-conference team in 1976, 1977 and 1978. He also led the team in rebounding all four seasons, tying Kerry Davis in 1976-77.

Greg played one season with the New York Knicks in the NBA. His jersey No. 30 was officially retired. Greg studied criminal justice and earned his degree in 1979 from the College of Humanities and Social Science.  He currently resides in Upland and works as Executive Director of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for SiTV, which broadcasts in English to Hispanic audiences. Greg has two teenage daughters, Alexandra and Natalie.
