JOSHUA GORDON - TRACK AND FIELD
For the week of May 11 - May 17, 2015

Joshua Gordon rewrote the Titan record books at the Big West Championships on May 16 at UC Riverside Track Facility. In the 400-meter dash, the Northridge, Calif. native posted a school-record time of 46.90 seconds, surpassing Brandon Campbell's 46.98 sec. finish that stood at the top of the Fullerton record book since the 2000 season. The senior then etched his name into Fullerton history for a second time, posting a 21.19 sec. finish in the 200-meter dash and breaking Kevin Howard's record of 21.23 sec. set in 1999.

THOMAS ESHELMAN - BASEBALL
For the week of May 4 - May 10, 2015

Thomas Eshelman shut down the No. 11 UC Santa Barbara offense, scattering three hits in eight innings of work to lead the Titans to a 3-0 victory on May 8 and propel the team into first place in the Big West. He walked one Gaucho, his first free pass in conference play, and fanned nine batters en route to his sixth victory of the year.

For the week of Apr. 27 - May 3, 2015

David Olmedo-Barrera batted .500 (7-for-14) in four games for the Titans last week. In the Titans three-game sweep of UC Riverside, Olmedo-Barrera batted .625 (5-for-8) and had two doubles, scored five runs and tallied six RBIs. He also was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts.

TEJERA DIAL - TRACK AND FIELD
For the week of Apr. 20 - Apr. 26, 2015

Tejera Dial was the top finisher for the Titan women on Saturday at the UCSD Triton Invitational, taking third-place overall in the 1,500-meter run en route to breaking a long-time Fullerton school record. The Bakersfield, Calif., native finished the race in a personal-best 4:27.54 seconds, surpassing Mary Kenny's 1,500m time of 4:28.50 sec. that had been standing alone atop the Titan track record book since 1989.  The senior also shattered her previous-best finish of 4:35.48 sec. that was set in the 2015 UC Riverside Spring Classic.

JOHN GAVIN - BASEBALL
For the week of Apr. 13 - Apr. 19, 2015

Southpaw John Gavin pitched a career-high seven shutout innings on Apr. 19 at No. 24 Maryland. He allowed just three hits and struck out six while issuing one walk, in the game the Titans would win, 1-0, in 10 innings.

For the week of Apr. 6 - Apr. 12, 2015

Helped lead the Titans to a 3-1 week as he hit .500 (8-for-16) with a triple, five runs scored and four RBIs gainst San Diego and UC Davis. Went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs in Sunday's series clinching 13-3 victory over the Aggies. He also had two walks and one stolen base this week, posting a .526 OBP and .625 slugging percentage in the four games.

DAVID OLMEDO-BARRERA - BASEBALL
For the week of Mar. 30 - Apr. 5, 2015

David Olmedo-Barrera tied a Cal State Fullerton record with 8 RBIs in one game, leading the Titans to a 13-2 victory in the rubber match of their series against Cal Poly. Olmedo-Barrera hit a grand slam to along with a two-run single, sacrifice fly and RBI hit-by-pitch to tie the record, which was set by Danny Dorn in 2003.

ELIZA CRAWFORD - SOFTBALL
For the week of Mar. 23-Mar. 29, 2015

Senior Eliza Crawford led the Titans to a 2-1 series victory at UC Santa Barbara to open Big West play. The native of Lakewood, Calif. posted a .462 average (6-for-13), drove in 10 runs and slugged 1.154 over the weekend. After dropping the first game to the Gauchos, Crawford responded with a 2-for-3 effort in game two, logging one triple and three RBIs in an 8-4 win. The first baseman's best performance came in the rubber match, going 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and a career-high five RBIs in a 15-5 rout of UCSB to clinch the series.

JESSICA FLORES - WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
For the week of Mar. 16-Mar. 22, 2015

Jessica Flores stole the spotlight for the Titan track and field squad at the UNLV Spring Invitational, setting a new school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 196-feet-5 inches. The throw shattered her previous personal-best throw by over 22 feet and is one of the longest in the NCAA so far this season. The Fresno, Calif. native broke Fullerton's previous school record throw of 185-feet-1 inch, set in 2010 by Jameena Hunt, while taking home first place in the event.

For the week of Mar. 9-Mar. 15, 2015

Softball's Desiree Ybarra had a key role in three consecutive shutouts for the Titans' pitching staff, a feat the team has not acomplished since 2002. In total, the left-hander tossed a combined 13 and 1/3 innings with a 0.00 ERA to notch two wins overall, one complete game and one save. The native of Riverside, Calif. scattered eight hits over the three-game span, striking out seven. Ybarra also showed superior control in the circle, issuing only one walk. In a 3-0 victory over Nebraska, the junior went the distance limiting the Corn Huskers to four hits while fanning four.

For the week of Mar. 2-Mar. 8, 2015

Thomas Eshelman struck out a career-high 14 batters en route to a 4-0 complete-game shutout of the No. 5 Texas Tech Red Raiders on Mar. 6. The junior righthander scatterd five hits, surreneders just one walk and allowed a measly two baserunners to reach second base to a team that came into the series having outscored its opponents 85-45. His win continued the Titans' current winning streak which now sits at 7 games, and propelled his team back into Baseball America's Top 25 on Mar. 9.

MARTINA EDBERG - WOMEN'S GOLF
For the week of Feb. 23-Mar. 1, 2015

Martina Edberg recorded her third career victory Feb. 24, earning co-medalist honors at the Juli Inkster Spartan Inviatational hosted by San Jose State. Edberg won the event for the second consecutive year, the same place where she earned her first career victory a year ago. She shot a 2-under 70 in the third and final round to finish in a tie for first place with a 3-over 219. She also recorded nine birdies throughout the 54 holes to lead the field.

CHANTE MILES - WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Feb. 16-22, 2015

Chante Miles was lights out for the first 10 minutes of the game on Feb. 19 at Cal Poly, shooting 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from beyond the three-point line to jumpstart the Titans to the 74-60 road win. She poured in 22 points in the first half and finished with a career-high 36 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field and 6-of-10 from deep. Miles completed the week with a team-high 12 points at UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 21, while playing the full 40 minutes for the 12th time this season. For the week, the senior averaged 24 points, 3 assists and 2.5 steals in 39.5 minutes per game.

MISSY TAUKEIAHO - SOFTBALL
For the week of Feb. 9-Feb. 15, 2015

Junior Missy Taukeiaho continued her hot start, by going 6-for-16 (.375) with at least one hit in each game of the Wilson/Demarini Desert Classic in Las Vegas. She had a 2-for-2, five-RBI effort that included two home runs (including a grand slam) in a 11-0 victory over BYU on Feb. 14. The multi-homer game was Taukeiaho's second of the season. Later that day she used the long ball once again, going 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and runs in a 4-3 victory over Utah. The third baseman has extended her hitting streak to a team-high eight games.

MISSY TAUKEIAHO - SOFTBALL
For the week of Feb. 2-Feb. 8, 2015

Junior Missy Taukeiaho led the Cal State Fullerton softball team to a 4-1 start at the Fullerton-hosted SoCal Collegiate Challenge. The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native posted a team-high .563 (9-for-16) average, clubbed three round-trippers over the weekend, including her first career two-homer game in a come-from-behind 8-7 stunner over No. 21 Notre Dame. Batting from the lead off position, Taukeiaho leads the team in runs (6) and hits (9) through the first five games of the season.

TY'JALAYAH ROBERTSON - WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
For the week of Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2015

Ty'Jalayah Robertson finished up the University of Washington Invitational in record-breaking style as she set a new school record in the high jump with a mark of 5-feet-6 inches, breaking the previous record of 5-feet-5.75 inches. The mark earned Robertson a top-five finish in the high jump event as she tied for fifth place on the final day of competition.  Robertson also competed in the triple jump at the UW Invite, posting a distance of 10.94 meters that left her tied for 19th place overall in the event.

CHANTE MILES - WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Jan. 19-25, 2015

With 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting on Jan. 22 against Cal Poly and 28 points on 6-of-11 shooting in a win against UC Santa Barbara, Chante Miles led the Titans to a 1-1 record during the two-game home stand this week. Miles played the full 40 minutes on the floor for the Titans for the ninth time this season versus UCSB and scored in double figures for the 15th and 16th-straight games to add to her career-high streak.  Miles passed Lauren Chow for 13th place on the Titan all-time scoring list and now has 1,204 points in her Titan career.

ALEXIS VALENZUELA - TENNIS
For the week of Jan. 12-18, 2015

With the team score 3-3 in the women's tennis season opener on Saturday, Jan. 17, the decision came down to Valenzuela's No. 1 singles match vs. Nevada. Holding a modest 3-2 lead in the third set, Valenzuela promptly swept the next 3 games to complete a split-set victory, 2-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. Valenzuela also won her No. 2 doubles match with partner Danielle Pham, 7-6.

LANERRYL JOHNSON - MEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Jan. 5-11, 2015

Lanerryl Johnson tied for the game-high with 29 points for the Titans off the bench - producing 26 of them in the second half and overtime - in Cal State Fullerton's 84-78 loss at UC Riverside on Jan. 8. He shot 11-of-18 from the floor and knocked down 5-of-10 from behind the arc. Johnson's 11 made field goals set a season high for the Titans, and his five three-pointers matched a Titan season high.

CHANTE MILES - WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Dec. 29, 2014 - Jan. 4, 2015

Senior Chante Miles led the Titans to a 2-0 record the week of Dec. 29, including a 72-52 win over UMKC at Titan Gym and a come-from-behind victory over Seattle at Connolly Center 66-59. Miles posted her first double-double of the season against UMKC, scoring 18 points and dishing out 12 assists. On Sunday, she kept the Titans in the game against Seattle while the rest of the team went cold, scoring 12 of her 28 points in the first half to keep the Titans within striking distance. On the week she averaged 23.0 points and 9.0 assists while playing 38.5 minutes per game.

ALEX HARRIS - MEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Dec. 15-Dec. 22, 2014

Alex Harris averaged 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in a pair of Titan victories last week while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. The Richmond, Calif., native's 29 points matched a career high in the Titans’ 82-77 victory over Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Dec. 22. Twenty-three of those points came in the second half on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor and a 9-of-10 effort from the free-throw line. On Dec. 18, Harris led the Titans with 16 points and four assists in a 72-50 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills. Harris has scored in double figures for seven straight games.

ALEX HARRIS - MEN'S BASKETBALL
For the week of Dec. 8-Dec. 14, 2014

Senior guard Alex Harris averaged a team-leading 17.0 points and 6.0 assists per game leading the Titans to a 1-1 record last week. The Richmond, Calif., native helped the Titans to their first road win of the year, a 65-55 victory over Nevada on Dec. 13, dropping a game-high 22 points and five assists while pulling down seven rebounds. The win over the Wolf Pack snapped an 11-game losing streak to Nevada. Harris has scored in double figures on nine occasions this season, including five-straight games, and has eclipsed the 20-point mark four times this year. He is just 85 points shy of the 1,000-point threshold for his career.

Chante Miles led the Titans in scoring over two games last week and joined the Titans' 1,000 Point Club in the process. In a 78-61 victory at Denver on Dec. 3, Miles scored a game-high 28 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 5-of-10 from three-point range.  She added seven rebounds, six assists and one steal. In an 86-50 loss at South Dakota on Dec. 6, Miles again led the Titans in scoring with 16 points while contributing three assists and two rebounds.  For the week, Miles averaged 22 points per game and kept her scoring streak alive, as she has now posted double-figures in points for six straight games.

For the week of Nov. 24-Nov. 30, 2014

Chante Miles put the Titans' offense on her back last week as Fullerton earned its first two wins of the year. She dropped a career-high 35 points (9-of-15 from the field and 6-of-9 from three-point range) and added six assists and three rebounds in the Nov. 24 win over Weber State and 18 points and four assists in the Nov. 29 victory over New Mexico State. Her 21 points in the second half on Nov. 28 was just not enough in the four-point loss to Eastern Michigan. For the week, Miles averaged 25.3 points per game, 3.3 assists per game, and never played less than 37 minutes.

For the week of Nov. 17-Nov. 23, 2014

Niki Withers set a new career high with 28 kills in the Titans' final home match of the year vs. UC Irvine on Nov. 22, while posting a .229 hitting percentage (28-12-70). Her 70 attempts were also a new career high. It was Withers' sixth 20-plus kill performance of the season and third of 25-plus kills. It was Withers' 10th-straight match with double-digit kills and the 24th overall this season. She averaged 7.00 kills per set on the night and also added a pair of digs and one block.

JEFF SALT - MEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Nov. 10-Nov. 16, 2014

Junior goalkeeper Jeff Salt was named the MVP of the Big West Tournament after posting back-to-back shutouts in the semifinal and final games, propelling the Titans to their first conference tournament championship. Last week began with a 3-0 victory at UC Riverside in the semifinal game on Nov. 12 and ended with a scoreless duel in the championship game on Nov. 15. Salt made four saves and held UC Irvine scoreless for 110 minutes in regulation and overtime and then made three saves in the penalty kick shootout to send the Titans to their seventh overall NCAA tournament appearance.

CHRISTINA BURKENROAD - WOMEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Nov. 3-Nov. 9, 2014

Christina Burkenroad was named the 2014 Big West Tournament MVP after scoring both game-winning goals for Cal State Fullerton as the Titans clinched back-to-back Big West Tournament titles and a berth in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. In the semifinals on Nov. 6, the junior midfielder scored the lone goal of a 1-0 shutout victory over CSUN. During Sunday’s championship tilt, Burkenroad scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 10th minute of the match. She has scored four goals and tallied one assist over Fullerton’s last four games.

CHRISTINA BURKENROAD - WOMEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2014

Christina Burkenroad played a part in three of the Titans' five goals last week en route to clinching the 2014 Big West Conference regular season championship. The native of San Diego scored twice as the Titans defeated UC Santa Barbara, 4-2, on Oct. 30 and then delivered the game-winning assist in the 1-0, winner-take-all match for the Big West title on Nov. 2 against Cal Poly. Burkenroad was named the Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. She has scored three goals this season and leads the team with four assists.

REBECCA WILSON - WOMEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Oct. 20-26, 2014

Junior forward Rebecca Wilson led the Titans to a pair of victories last week, helping women’s soccer clinch a berth in the Big West Tournament. Wilson was named the Big West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals with an assist in Oct. 23's 3-1 victory over UC Irvine and the game-winner in the Oct. 26, 1-0 shutout of UC Riverside. Wilson leads the team with 10 goals and has scored nine of them in her last nine games. She is the first Titan to the 10-goal plateau since Kandace Wilson in 2005.

REBECCA WILSON - WOMEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Oct. 13-19, 2014

Rebecca Wilson converted a penalty kick in the 57th minute to lead the Titans to a 1-0 road victory over Big West leader CSUN on Oct. 19. Wilson leads Fullerton with eight goals, the most for any Titan in a single-season since 2010. She has scored seven goals in Fullerton's last seven games, including two game winners.

McKENNA PAINTON - VOLLEYBALL
For the week of Oct. 6-12, 2014

Playing a position other than libero for the first time in her career, McKenna Painton tallied her first two career double-doubles, leading the team with 15 kills and 15 digs in Friday's match against Cal Poly. The 5-foot-8 sophomore set new career highs in kills (15), attempts (41), hitting percentage (.171) and total blocks (3) against the Mustangs. She capped off the weekend with 14 kills and 11 digs against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night. Overall, Painton averaged 3.62 kills, 3.25 digs per set and had four blocks.

TISHA ALYN ABREA - WOMEN'S GOLF
For the week of Sept. 29 - Oct. 5, 2014

Tisha Alyn Abrea scored her first career victory as a Titan on Sept. 30 at the Rose City Collegiate to help lead Fullerton to the team title. Abrea shot a 1-over 73 in the final round to top the 75-player field with a collective 1-under 215. The Murreita, Calif., native was the only golfer to shoot under par and she had three birdies on the final day of the tournament. She tallied 10 Birdies in 54 holes, the second most of the tournament. She also led all players with a 2.67 scoring avg. on Par-3's, shooting a collective 4-under on those holes.

MITCHELL BELL - MEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Sept. 22-28, 2014

Sophomore defender Mitchell Bell scored the first goal of his Titan career leading Cal State Fullerton to a 1-0 shutout over Grand Canyon on Sept. 28. Bell's header, courtesy of a Robert Coronado cross, proved to be the game-winner in just the third minute as the defender went on to limit the Lopes to just three shots on goal. The Titans are on a four-game winning streak with Bell starting the last four games on the backline.

GARRETT LOSEE - MEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Sept. 15-21, 2014

Senior Garrett Losee led the Titans to two wins last week as men's soccer extended its winning streak to three games after the midfielder scored a pair of game-winning goals. In a 1-0 shutout of Santa Clara on Sept. 19, Losee controlled a pass at the top of the box and launched a half volley over the SCU keeper and just under the crossbar in the 67th minute. It was the first goal Santa Clara had surrendered in its last 477 minutes. On Sept. 21 against Nebraska-Omaha in the 72nd minute, Losee put the Titans ahead 2-1 with a goal at the back post. The native of South Jordan, Utah, now leads the Titans with three goals in 2014.

MARC FENELUS - MEN'S SOCCER
For the week of Sept. 8-14, 2014

Senior forward Marc Fenelus scored two goals last weekend at the UNLV Nike Invitational, including the game winner in Sept. 14's 4-3 upset of 14th-ranked UMBC. With only 35 seconds remaining in double overtime, Fenelus delivered the golden goal with a 10-yard shot to the right post. The game winner was part of a four-goal second half for the Titans. Fenelus also scored in Sept. 12's 2-1 loss to Detroit. The native of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, was named to the UNLV Nike Invitational All-Tournament team.
