FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton improved their record to 16-4 (4-1), while UC Irvine falls to 8-12 (0-4) for the season. The Titans pulled through with a brilliant 7-0 victory over the Anteaters on Saturday.
Fullerton extended their streak at home to 9-0, while at the Titan Tennis Courts.

To start the day, the Titans secured the doubles point after battling on court number two. The dynamic duo of Sarah Nuno and Karla Portalatin took down Stephanie Hazell and Danielle Garrido 6-2 on court number one.
Genevieve Zeidan paired with Jadie Acidera on court number three to take down Stephanie Nguyen and Yulin Chen 6-1.
Court number two is where the Titans took their time before they secured the win as Masako Makiba and Danielle Pham defeated Fiora Amiri and Arianna Tillbury 7-6.
Doubles court four also had some action on Saturday as Caisey Lee Emery and Luxizi Meng partnered up to defeat Jacqueline Tsodikova and Gillian Parker 6-2.
Fullerton moved to singles play and continued to show their strength at home as they rounded off the day with a perfect finish.
Court number two went into the Titans favor early as Nguyen retired her match against Nuno 4-1.
Zeidan finished off Hazell on court number one with a score of 6-3, 6-2. Shortly after, Portalatin also notched a win to clinch the victory for the Titans 6-1, 6-2 over Amiri.
Emery got back into her stride as she took down Tillbury 6-0, 6-1.
Acidera brought down Parker on court number six with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
It came down to court number four where Meng and Chen had to settle it in three sets. Meng ultimately pulled through to give the Titans their perfect finish with a score of 6-4, 6-7, 10-5.
Cal State Fullerton is back at home to finish off their final homestand Saturday against Cal Poly at 11 a.m.
