FULLERTON, CA - Coming off a slow offensive week that saw Cal State Fullerton scored just one goal in an 0-1-1 week, the Titans (7-6-2 overall, 3-1-1 in Big West Conference play) take a break from league action with only one match this weekend. Fullerton travels north for a noon kickoff at UC Davis on Sunday (Oct. 22).

SERIES NOTES
Cal State Fullerton has won the only two meetings with UC Davis: 3-2 at UC Davis in 2004 and 4-1 in Fullerton in 2005... In last season's meeting, Erica Peschken scored twice while Lauryn Welch added a goal an two assists in the victory while goalkeeper Shayla Sabin made one save in net to improve to 3-0 overall on the season.
SCOUTING UC DAVIS
The Aggies (7-4-2 overall) have been struggling as of late, going winless in their last five matches, including a pair of ties against UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine... UC Davis are 0-2-2 against Big West opposition this season... Junior Dayna Dumont leads the team with four goals and nine points with six other players netting multiple goals... Junior Megan Daws has started all 13 matches in net with a 0.95 goals against average and six shutouts to go with 52 saves... The Aggies are outscoring the opposition 24-13 this season, including 13-4 in the first half.
THIS IS NEW
Cal State Fullerton's 4-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara was the worst loss for the Titans in over three years since the Gauchos' 3-0 shutout win over Fullerton in 2003. The four goals allowed on Friday to UCSB were also the most goals allowed by a Titans' sqaud since a 5-0 loss at San Diego in 2001.
BONUS SOCCER
The Titans' played their fourth overtime contest of the year in Sunday's scoreless draw with Cal Poly - the most extra time contests since the 2002 squad went to overtime four times. The school record for overtime contests is seven set in the program's first year in 1993.
BARDSLEY'S BUSY SEASON
After being helped by a tenacious defense the last few seasons, senior netminder Karen Bardsley has been busy during her senior season as her Big West-high 88 saves matches her personal high of 88 saves set in her freshman season and ranks tied for fourth on the school's single-season list. Her 268 saves are a Fullerton school record and seventh-best on the Big West career record list. With 12 more saves, Bardsley would become only the second Fullerton netminder to notch 100 saves in a season, joining Heidi Clauss, who had 129 stops in 1993.
BARDSLEY CLOSES ON ANOTHER
More on Karen Bardsley. She notched her 24th career shutout against Cal Poly on Sunday, moving her into third place on the Big West list - just four clean sheets short of Pacific's Kim McCaskey, who set the league record with 28 shutouts from 1997-99.
NIL-NIL, AGAIN
Fullerton's scoreless draw with Cal Poly on Sunday was the third such tie in school history and the second this season after the Titans battled No. 10 California to a scoreless tie on Sept. 3. The first nil-nil result came back in the 2004 Big West Conference opener against UC Riverside at Titan Stadium.
CONFERENCE STREAK ENDS
Cal State Fullerton's nine-match Big West Conference winning streak came to an end in Friday night's loss to UC Santa Barbara, but the Titans have continued to be successful against its conference foes. It was only the third Big West loss for Fullerton dating back to 2004, posting a 16-3-2 record with 14 shutouts and a 19-7 advantage in the scoring column.
TITANS PICKED SECOND IN BIG WEST TITLE RACE
The Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team received two first-place votes (48 points overall) and was picked to finish second in the Big West Conference in 2006 according to a poll of the league's coaches. Long Beach State received three first-place votes and 56 points overall to finish atop the preseason poll for the first time in school history. UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Pacific, UC Riverside, Cal State Northridge, and UC Irvine round out the poll in that order.
TITANS TO MAKE NATIONAL TV DEBUT
