AUBURN, AL - Cal State Fullerton sophomore Stacey Thompson scored the game-winning goal with just over a minute left in the second overtime on Friday night to lift the visiting Titans to a 2-1 victory over host Auburn in the second match of the Auburn/Reebok Classic in Auburn, Ala.

Fullerton improved to 2-1 overall on the season in winning the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Tigers fell to 0-3 overall.

Thompson's "golden goal" game-winner came off a pass from junior Desiree Flint, putting the shot past AU keeper Anna Fiser into the side netting from 25 yards out with 1:07 remaining in the second overtime.

The Titans got on the board first as senior Kellie Cox scored her second goal of the season, sending in a corner kick from the right hand side down by the Auburn goal at the 5:09 mark of the first half.

The second half saw the Tigers get more aggressive, with the end result being an unassisted goal by Leah Blayney from the middle of the top of the box at the 60:21 mark.

Auburn was out shot 20-12 in the game. Fiser made four saves between the second half and the two overtimes. Allison Whitworth made five saves in the first half for Auburn while Titan junior Karen Bardsley made five stops for her first victory in net.

The Classic concludes on Sunday with South Carolina and Cal State Fullerton facing off at 10 a.m. PDT. Auburn and Rhode Island will follow at 12:30 p.m. PDT.
