ROSEVILLE, Calif. --- The third round of the Sacramento State Invitational was cancelled due to rain and lightning in the area on Tuesday. Final results will be based on the first two rounds played at Sierra View Country Club on Monday in Roseville, Calif.
The Titans shot a two-round score of 605 (+29) and finished seven shots off the pace of leader and host Sacramento State (598, +22), in fifth place.
The Hornets were followed by Princeton (599, +23), Nevada (600, +24), Northern Colorado (604, +28), Fullerton, Northern Arizona (612, +36), CSUN (614, +38), Utah Valley (617, +41), Weber State (628, +52), South Dakota (635, +59), North Dakota (639, +63), and Idaho State (689, +113).
Northern Arizona's Sofia Anokhina was the only player to finish under par, shooting a 69 (-3) in the first round followed by a second-round score of 72.
Fullerton's Martina Edberg tied for seventh place after a two-round score of 5-over-par 149, while teammate sophomore Pauline Welker tied for 10th on the leaderboard with a two-round score of 6-over-par 150.
Junior Brittany Farrell, competing as an individual, shot a two-round score of 7-over-par 151 to tie for 15th in the standings. After shooting an 80 (+8) in the first round, Farrell recovered to shoot a 1-under-par 71 in the second round - the best round of Monday for a Titan.
Sophomore Britney Sok shot an 8-over-par 152 after two rounds of play to finish tied for 21st, while freshman Elsa Lundquist recovered from a first-round effort of 82 (+10) to shoot 2-over-par 74 in the second round for a two-round score of 156 (+12), tying for 34th.
Junior Daniella Uy finished tied for 47th with a two-round score of 160 (+16).
The Titans return action on Sunday, April 2 at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at El Tigre Golf Club.
