PULLMAN, Wash. – Senior Martina Edberg set a new Cal State Fullerton record Tuesday en route to her fifth career win at the WSU Cougar Cup hosted by Washington State at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.

Edberg set a new 54-hole record as she posted a 10-under 206 to finish atop the individual leaderboard, seven strokes ahead of Sophie Hausmann and Amy Hasenoehrl of Idaho in second place. Her performance eclipsed the previous record of 211, which she set at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Classic on Sept. 26-27, 2015, also a victory for the Titans golfer.

Edberg was on fire in round three, posting a 6-under 66, a new third-round scoring record at the WSU Cougar Cup and the second best single-round score in the history of the tournament. She currently holds the single-round record of 65, set in round two last year, which is also a Fullerton record. Edberg's 66 is also the first time any Titans golfer has recorded that particular score. It is also her ninth career round in the 60s and the 12th round in the 60s in Fullerton recorded history dating back to when the women's golf program was reinstated in 2009-10.

The Glumslov, Sweden native continued to roll on Tuesday after shooting a 68 in round two on Monday. Edberg recorded five birdies in the final round and an eagle on the 475-yard par-5 No. 17. Overall, Edberg tied for the lead in the field with 14 birdies at the tournament and recorded one of four eagles at the WSU Cougar Cup. She excelled on par-4's, posting a cumulative score of 8-under on those holes, five strokes better than the next competitor.

The Titans as a collective also made history on Tuesday, posting a 5-under 283 in the final round to set a new single-round team record. The team bested the previous mark of 287 set in 2013. Overall, the Titans tied for second at the WSU Cougar Cup, posting a 4-over 868, another Cal State Fullerton record. The team beat the previous mark of 871, which was set in 2014 at the New Mexico State Invitational, a tournament in which Fullerton finished fourth.

The Titans and host Washington State both finished four strokes back of team-champions Idaho, a team that posted a 7-under 281 on Tuesday.

Junior Brittany Farrell set a new personal-best as she recorded a 1-over 217 at the WSU Cougar Cup, finishing tied for seventh place. It was her second career top-10 finish.

Farrell recorded her second straight even-par 72 on Tuesday, tying her single-round personal best. She was steady throughout the day, recording 16 pars with a birdie on the No. 5 and a bogey on the No. 9. Overall, Farrell posted 41 pars in 54 holes, the second most at the tournament and just two back of Idaho's Kendall Gray.

Sophomore Pauline Welker was yet another Titans golfer that set a new personal-best, posting an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish the tournament with a 5-over 221. Welker's final score and her 12th place finish were also personal bests and she also recorded her first career top-20 finish.

After a rocky debut with the Titans on Monday, junior transfer Daniella Uy righted the ship on Tuesday as she posted a 1-over 73 to finish with a 13-over 229. She finished tied for 31st and rounded out the team scoring for Fullerton.

Freshman Elsa Lundquist finished with a 54-hole score of 235 and tied for 46th place while Brittney Sok, competing as an individual, posted a 247 including a tournament-best 79 on Tuesday to finish in 58th place.

The Titans will turn right around and get back on the links next week as they head to the Rose City Collegiate. The tournament gets underway on Monday with 36 holes followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore.
