NEW BRAUNFELS, TX. – Cal State Fullerton finished the first two rounds of play at the Jim West Invitational in fourth place at the Bandit Golf Course hosted by Texas State in New Braunfels, TX.

 

The Titans shot a 47-over par 615 for the day after posting a 19-over par 303 in round one and a 28-over par 312 in the second round. They are currently one shot back of third-place Arkansas Little Rock and 24 shots behind day-one leader Gonzaga.

 

Junior Makayla Mier paced the Titans with a 10-over 152 on the day. She shot a 3-over 74 in the first round to set the best score for the Titans on the day and followed that with a 7-over 78 in the final round of the day. She is currently tied for 10th place in the field, nine shots off leader Cierra Min of Gonzaga at 1-over par.

 

Tisha Alyn Abrea and Seri Lee each recorded a 12-over par performance, placing them in a tie for 15th place overall, 11 shots off the lead.

 

Abrea put up a 4-over 75 in the first round of the day and followed that with an 8-over 79 in the second round. Lee was consistent on the day, shooting a pair of 6-over 77 rounds on Monday.

 

Martina Edberg rounded out the scoring for the Titans as the freshman recorded a 6-over 77 in the opening round and a 7-over 78 to conclude her day at 13-over par. She is tied for 21st overall, 12 shots off the individual lead.

 

Dakota Brown shot a 33-over 175 in the two rounds as the fifth member of the Titans after following a 12-over 83 in the first round with a 21-over 92 in the final round of the day.

 

The Titans return to action Tuesday for a 6:15 a.m. shotgun start of the final round of action.
