IRVINE, Calif. --- Junior Connor Seabold threw Cal State Fullerton's first complete game shutout in nearly two years to pick up Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades, the league office announced on Monday.
The right-hander allowed UC Davis just three hits, walked one and struck out a season-high tying 11 batters in a 6-0 victory on Friday at Goodwin Field. It was Fullerton's first complete game shutout since Thomas Eshelman threw one on May 15, 2015.
Seabold had a perfect game going through 4.1 innings. The Aggies managed to advance only one runner to third base for the entire game. Seabold struck out at least one Aggie in each of the first six innings and in eight of the nine frames overall, including one looking to end the game.
This is Seabold's second time this season earning Big West Pitcher of the Week honors (2/20), while it's Fullerton's third time garnering the award this season with John Gavin also claiming the honor on March 20.
The Titans have won six straight overall and 11 consecutive at home.
