AS A SENIOR (2016)
Played in 42 games, making 31 starts... Batted .228 with 29 hits and 16 runs scored... Stole eight bases and finished his Titans career with 28 steals... Played in 146 games in three years with the Titans, tallying 114 career hits including 16 doubles and five triples.
AS A JUNIOR (2015)
Fullerton’s starting center fielder …after batting in seven different spots in the order, found a home at the two hole…Big West Conference Second Team selection…fourth amongst starters batting .297, while also driving in 23 runs, scoring 28 runs and leading the Titans with 68 hits including a team-leading 11 doubles and two triples…issued 18 walks and 12-for-15 in stolen base attempts…led the Titans with 22 multiple-hit games while adding six multiple-RBI games…in Big West games batted .318 with 13 RBIs, 11 runs scored, four doubles and one triple…his one-run single to right field in the eighth vs. then No. 5 Texas Tech was the game winner in a 6-5 series-sweeping victory (03/08)…one-run double to right field in the third inning at San Diego scored the game-winning run in a 6-4 victory (04/07)…one-run sacrifice fly to right field vs. UC Irvine as part of a three-run fifth inning for the Titans proved to be the game winner in a 7-5 victory that clinched the series win (04/26)…10-game hitting streak during the year from April 4-22…batted 3-for5, drove in two runs, scored two runs and doubled in the series opening 10-1 victory over Baylor (02/27)…batted 2-for-4, drove in two runs, scored one run and doubled in the series-clinching 7-2 win at CSUN (03/29)…matched a career high driving in three runs in a series-clinching 13-3 win at UC Davis (04/12)…hit 3-for-4 and drove in two runs and also added a double in the series-clinching 10-1 win over then No. 9 UC Santa Barbara (05/09)…batted 2-for-3 with three runs scored while swiping two bags in 9-3 victory over Pepperdine in game two of the Fullerton Regional.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
In his first year with the Titans, appeared in 41 games and made 21 starts... Tallied 17 hits, two doubles and one triple and scored 16 runs... Recorded eight stolen bases in 10 attempts and was fifth on the team with eight hit-by-pitches... Scored three runs and tallied three RBI against Hawaii on Apr. 26... Stole two bases in a game against San Francisco on Feb. 21... Went 3-for-10 at the Stillwater Regional, starting in the final two games.
SUMMER 2013
Played for the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League with Titan teammates Jake Jefferies, Koby Gauna and Austin Diemer…batted .277 with 41 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple, one home run, 23 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
PRIOR TO CAL STATE FULLLERTON
Granted a medical redshirt for the 2012 season, and as a freshman in 2013 at Delta Community College in Stockton, Calif., was named an all-Northern California outfielder and a Big 8 Conference first team outfielder…was second on the roster batting .323 with 40 runs scored, 10 doubles, seven triples, 23 RBIs and 21 stolen bases.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2011 graduate of Tokay High School in Lodi, Calif…played three years (2009-11) on the varsity squad for head coach Aaron Misasi…as a senior in 2011, batted .347 with a .529 on-base percentage, nine RBIs, 27 runs scored, four doubles, three triples and one home run as the Panthers finished the year with an 18-10 record…was named all Tri-City League…as a junior batted .423 with 24 RBIs, one home run and 22 stolen bases.
PERSONAL
Born in Clements, Calif…parents are Steven and Ann Stieb…has one older brother (Eric) and one older sister (Nicole)…major is business management…uncle is former Major League Baseball pitcher and seven-time All-Star Dave Stieb of the Toronto Blue Jays…father Steven played in the College World Series for the Salukis of Southern Illinois in 1977 and was named to the all-tournament team after the team finished third and was eliminated. He played in the minors for the Atlanta Braves…models his game after Brett Gardner…favorites include: Gregg Jefferies (baseball player), AT&T Park (baseball stadium), Bo Jackson (athlete), nationalgeographic.com (website), Oakland A’s (baseball team), “A Walk to Remember” (movie), Angelina Jolie (actress), Indian (food).
