FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton track and field team saw a lot of top finishes in their first home meet of the season, the Ben Brown Invitational, this past weekend.

Both women's relay teams and Jalen Morgan in the discus took home first place as six Titans finished in second while four finished in third.

The women's 4x100 meter relay team, comprised of Jade Lewis, Tyler Hardge, Alexis Stewart and Janaya Shorty, finished in first place after a total time of 47.38, beating out the Mt. Sac relay team that finished closely behind with a time of 47.69.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team, comprised of India Owens, Alexandria Stewart, Henderson and Elizabeth Claustro also took home first with their time of 3:49.86, beating out the second place team Riverside by over 10 seconds.

Rounding out the group of first place winners is Jalen Morgan who edged out Ndoto Strong in the discus throw with his final distance of 46.92m.

The Titans saw six second-place finishers with: Darion Zimmerman – 100m dash (10.70), Thaddeus Smith – 400m dash (47.19), Aneesh Joshi – 110m hurdles (14.38), Ifunanya Gwacham – triple jump (11.59m), Ty'Jalayah Robertson – high jump (1.72m), Siena Morgan – pole vault (3.40m).

Smith's time of 47.19 ties the top mark in the Big West and is also the top mark in the 400m dash for the Titans this season. Joshi also improved on his 110m hurdles time from last weekend, besting the previous time of 14.50.

Rounding out the group finishing in third place in their respective events are Zuri Henderson (400m – 56.49), Sierra Ungerman (Mile – 4:59.28), Kelsey McKelvey (Javelin – 36.42m) and Laura Hamman (Long Jump – 5.34m).

The Titans return to action this weekend as they head to Los Angeles to participate in the USC Trojan Invite on Friday and Saturday.
