FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team is heading back to Seattle this weekend for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships. Competition begins on Friday at 12 p.m. PT and on Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.

A live stream (not free) of the meet is available here.

In addition to the host Washington Huskies, Fullerton will compete against Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, CSUN, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Oregon, Oregon State, Portland, San Francisco, Stanford, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State.

Last week at the Air Force Open, Iesha Hamm took second place overall in the high jump but first among collegiate competitors with her school-record tying clearance. She had an impressive series as she was clean through 1.79m, clearing the bar on her first attempt each time. Although she had some good tries at 5-11.5 (1.82m) she was unable to clear it. The top 16 marks in the nation qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships and to put herself in the hunt to qualify, Hamm will have to at least clear 5-10.75 (1.80m) next week at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships. At that meet last year, Hamm originally set the school record with her 1.79m clearance and took fourth place overall.

For the year, Hamm's 1.79m mark is fourth in the MPSF. Kyra Anderson's 60-meter hurdles time of 8.63 at the Colorado Invitational is ranked 20th in the league while Sinai Fatafehi's weight throw toss of 54-7.25 (16.64m, also at the Colorado Invitational) is 17th.

Last season, the Titans earned a 17th-place finish at the meet.

With the 2019 season underway, cross country and track and field head coach John Elders enters his 31st season at the helm of each program making him the longest tenured head coach in the history of Cal State Fullerton. Cal State Fullerton won the 2017 Big West Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the first conference title in program history, then repeated that feat in 2018 to become back-to-back champions.
