Irvine, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton senior libero Cami Croteau earned her first career Big West Conference Player of the Week award after becoming the conference's all-time dig leader and setting two new school records during the week ending Nov. 21.

Croteau, playing the final regular-season matches of her career, averaged 7.33 digs per set and totaled 59 digs in a pair of road wins that lifted the Titans to their first-ever Big West Conference championship and postseason berth in program history.

On Friday night against UC Irvine, the defensive specialist out of Orange Lutheran High School, logged a team-high 21 digs and set the new Big West Conference record for digs in a career with her last scoop of the night. She surpassed former Cal Poly standout Kristin Jackson who had held the record since 2007 with 2,132 career digs.

On Saturday night, Croteau dug 38 Cal State Northridge attack attempts over four sets and set a new Cal State Fullerton record for the most digs in a match passing former Titan libero Vanessa Vella's record of 37 digs in a night. With her outstanding defensive performance, Croteau also set a new school record for digs in a season tallying her 583rd dig of the year. Croteau (2009) and Vella (2005) shared the old school record for digs in a season with 581 digs each.

This is the first player of the week nod for Croteau in her career and fifth for the Titans this year, also a school record. She has played every set of every match in her Cal State Fullerton career.
