Irvine, Calif. - Double-doubles by Anteaters McCall Miller and Lauren Kellerman lifted UC Irvine to a 3-0 sweep of Cal State Fullerton at Crawford Hall Friday night in a Big West Conference volleyball match.

The Titans, unable to win consecutive matches since Sept. 21, fell to 16-10 on the year and 5-7 in league play while the Anteaters, the hottest team in the conference, improve to 10-15, 5-6. UCI has won five of their last seven games in conference and six of their last eight overall.

Despite leading UCI with a .364 hitting percentage, Fullerton was never able to gain a lead in game one as McCall slammed eight first-frame kills, while Devon Sutherland posted three of her five service aces to lead Irvine to a 30-27 win. The Titans tied the game at 25-25, but the Anteaters strung together three points for the victory. Amanda Pfielschiefter hit .500 as she and Deven Bukoski each had four kills to lead the Titans.

In game two, Fullerton held a 29-26 edge, but let the lead slip as a ball handling error gave the Anteaters the serve. Lauren Kellerman served, as kills by Miller and Alexandra Filkins led the Anteaters to four straight points for the 31-29 win. Pfielschiefter again hit .500 in game two with a team-leading four kills. Kellerman posted seven.

In game three, Irvine went on a 7-1 run at 20-17 to take a commanding 27-18 lead late in the match. McCall and Miller each had seven kills in the game as Irvine out-hit Fullerton .340 to .100 to sweep the season series, 2-0.

Miller led all players with 18 kills, hitting .275 on the night, Kellerman finished with 16 kills and a .250 attack percentage. Pfielschiefter was the only Titan with 10-or-more kills, posting 11 in 18 attempts, leading all players with a .500 percentage.

Julie Geissert set 29 assists and scooped 14 digs for the Titans, tying Titans libero Vannesa Vella in the digs department. Three Anteaters posted double-digits in digs, with Sutherland's 15 leading all players.

Cal State Fullerton did dominate in one statistic, winning the blocking game 12-3 as a team. Pfielschiefter and Brittany Moore led with six blocks (one solo apiece), while Irvine's leader collected just two block assists in the wining effort.

Fullerton will meet with Long Beach State at The Pyramid Saturday night at 7 p.m.
