PORTLAND, Ore. — Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball lost in three sets (7-25, 21-25, 13-25) to Kansas State Sunday in its final game at the Hotel Vance Rose City Showdown.

Lyla Traylor had a near double-double to lead the Titans, posting 10 kills and nine digs. Ameena Campbell added seven kills and eight digs while Ryleigh Garis recorded 22 assists on the match.

Campbell was honored as an All-Tournament selection at the conclusion of the three-day event.

Fullerton hit at a season-low .011 clip as a team, compared to the Wildcats' .400 hitting percentage. Kansas State stifled the Titans at the net, tallying 12.5 blocks to Fullerton's one. The defeat drops the Titans to 0-3 on the season.

Fullerton got off to a slow start in the match, falling behind 7-0 in the first set. Traylor notched a trio of kills and Nadia Koanui added an ace, but the Wildcats maintained control with a 15-6 lead. Kansas State closed the set on a 9-0 run to take it 25-7.

In set number two, the Titans pounced to a 7-3 advantage following kills from Nia Cummings, Campbell and another Koanui ace. Fullerton pushed its lead to five, 14-9, with kills from Traylor and Cummings. But Kansas State responded with a 6-0 run to go up 15-14. The Titans hung around, with another pair of kills from Traylor bringing the score to 21-19 for the Wildcats. But a 4-2 Kansas State run to end the set gave the Wildcats a 2-0 match lead.

Fullerton got out to another quick start in the third frame, leading 5-3 after back-to-back kills from Traylor and Kylie Griffin. The Wildcats, though, scored seven unanswered to go up 10-5. A Bianca Martinez and Garis block and Campbell kill later brought the score to 16-10 for Kansas State. A 9-3 run from the Wildcats gave them the set, 25-13, to complete the sweep.

Up next for the Titans is the Hornet Invitational, which will take place Sept. 1-2 on the campus of Sacramento State. Fullerton will take first take on the Hornets and San Jose State in a doubleheader on Sept. 1.
