ST. George, Utah. - The Cal State Fullerton Women's Volleyball team loss 3-0 against the Utah Tech Trailblazers on Friday evening at the Burns Arena.
The Titans move to 1-2 on the season while Utah Tech improves to 3-1 on the season.
The Titans had a nervy start to the game after the Trailblazers started the first set with an 8-3 lead. The Titans battled throughout the first set bringing themselves within 2 points multiple times, but ultimately Utah Tech prevailed 25-18 in the first set. Julia Crawford led the Titans with 5 kills in the first set.
The second started as a back-and-forth tie between both sides. Utah Tech took a 10-6 lead before the Titans were able to tie it back at 12-12. They would keep getting knotted up throughout the set before the Titans found the breakthrough at 19-18. However, the Trailblazers gained momentum late in the set and took the second set 25-22.

The Titans couldn't get anything going in the third set until it was nearly decided. The Trailblazers started with an 8-2 lead that went into a 16-3 lead. The Titans rallied late with some points to make it a respectable 25-13 final set.

The Trailblazers hit with a .283 kill percentage while the Titans attacked at a .093 clip for the match. Utah Tech had 8 service aces to the Titans 2 service aces. The Titans also had 8 receiving errors to the Trailblazers 2 hitting errors. Julia Crawford led the Titans with 12 kils. Kyahana Robinson led the Titans with 5 blocks.

The Titans will remain in Utah as they head to Cedar City, Utah to take on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Saturday, September 3rd. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. PST.
