HONOLULU – Madeline Schneider produced her third consecutive double-digit kill performance, but it wasn't enough is the Titans dropped a 3-0 (27-25, 25-11, 25-14) decision at Hawai'i on Saturday evening.
Schneider was Fullerton's leader offensively with 11 kills on 39 total attacks, while recording five digs. She also had a team-best three block assists. Cady Francis was once again at the libero position and led the Titans with 17 digs. Nastassja Bowman led Fullerton with 13 assists, while Makenzi Abelman had 11.
The opening set was as close as it gets, as no team had more than a two point advantage at any point. Both teams were tied at 25-25, but Hawai'i was about to come through with the final two points to sneak out the 27-25 win.
Hawai'i's positive momentum continued into the second and third sets, as it never really looked back from there. UH got better as the match went on, as it hit .276 in the second set and .424 in the third set.
The Titans return home to take on UC Riverside, Saturday at 4 pm PT inside Titan Gym.
