TOWSON, Md. --- It was a short turnaround for the Titans, but Fullerton responded in a big way under tough conditions, earning a dominating 3-0 (11-25, 16-25, 23-25) victory over Lafayette on the second day of the Towson Tiger Invitational at the SECU Arena on Friday morning.
For Fullerton (3-5), the win marks its first victory away from Titan Gym this season, while all three victories for the Titans now have been three-set sweeps. The win snaps what was a four-match losing skid.

The Titans were firing all cylinders today, accumulating a hitting percentage of .347, while Tyler Fezzey secured 10 kills for a .421 attack percentage. Madeline Schneider continued her superb campaign, recording a team-high 14 kills on 29 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .345.
Summer Kerins recorded a match-best hitting percentage of .545, with six kills on 11 total attacks, while also coming through with three blocks. Savahna Costello led the Titans in the dig category with 12.
The match was never in doubt, as Fullerton struck for the first five points of the set to open things up and never looked back from there. The Titans recording a dominating .433 hitting percentage of .433 en route to a 25-11 victory. The 14-point margin marked the largest margin of victory the Titans have had in any set so far this season.
The stellar play for the Titans continued into the second set, as Fullerton recorded a match-high .444 attack percentage. The Titans recorded just two errors in the set, as they earned a convincing 25-16 second set win to take a commanding 2-0 in the match.
Towson (1-5) did all it could to keep pace and stay alive in the match, but in the end Fullerton hung on and grinded out its sixth third set victory over the season, recording a 25-23 win to clinch the match. The Titans have won six of eight third sets this season.
Fullerton aims to start its first win streak of the season, as it'll take on Eastern Michigan tomorrow at 7 am PT.
