TOWSON, Md.--- After an epic first set, the Titans just didn't have the energy to keep up the rest of the way, as Fullerton dropped a 3-0 (30-32, 12-25, 13-25) decision to Towson, Thursday evening at SECU Arena.
Madeline Schneider led the Titans with nine kills, while also chipping in with five digs. Tyler Fezzey chipped in with five kills and three digs. Savahna Costello played well at the libero position, coming through with team-high 18 digs.
The Titans (2-5) nearly captured the first set and in fact led most of the way, at one point holding a 16-10. However, Towson (7-0) fought back and grinded out a 32-30 first set victory. It was the longest set the Titans have competed in this year.
Unfortunately, the Titans couldn't quite recapture the momentum, as Fullerton fell in the second set 25-12 and the third and deciding set 25-13.
Fullerton will take on Lafayette tomorrow at 9:15 am PT.
