Titans Set to Host Fullerton Classic This Weekend

FULLERTON, Calif.--- The Titans aim to start their first win streak of the year, as they'll take on Chicago State, San Jose State and Southern Utah this weekend inside Titan Gym as a part of the Fullerton/Riverside Classic. Fullerton will open play with Chicago State on Friday at 7 pm, while it'll take on San Jose State, Saturday at 11 am PT and Southern Utah at 8 pm PT.

WEEKLY RECAP

Cal State Fullerton is off to a great start to begin 2017. The Titans dominated Fairleigh Dickinson 3-0 in the season opener, before being narrowly defeated by Drake (3-2) the following day. However, Fullerton responded in a big way by finishing off the weekend with a sweep of Bryant (3-0) to take a 2-1 mark into this weekend

Tickets for all Titans home games can be purchased online at FullertonTitans.com, or at the Cal State Fullerton Athletics Ticket Office, located in the Titan House on campus off of Gymnasium Drive on the northeast side of Titan Gym. Game day sales and will call tickets will open one hour prior to the scheduled time at the specific venue. All Cal State Fullerton students with a school ID get free admission. Fans are  also able to receive discounts by printing their gets at home.

  • The Cougars enter this weekend's tournament currently sitting at 1-2 for the season after defeating Manhattan College 3-0, but dropping matches to Evansville (3-1) and Western Illinois (3-0).
  • Chicago State has 147 kills, while they've given up 120 on the year. Their attack percentage is just .141 as opposed to an opponent attack percentage of .219.

  • Southern Utah enters this weekend 1-4 on the season, with its lone win coming against South Carolina State (3-0).
